Virtual Reality and Active Interfaces

images vrai-group

Since 1993, the Virtual Reality and Active Interfaces (VRAI) group has been creating innovative user interfaces. Our research covers a broad range of applications: from computer aided surgery to nanomanipulation, from human-robot interaction to vehicle teleoperation.

To manage these applications, we are working with haptics, human-oriented computer vision, physics-based 3D graphics, personal digital assistants, and the WorldWideWeb.

A major goal of the group is to transfer the technology developed into commercial products. Most of this is achieved via start-ups and among them we can mention Force Dimension, Atracsys, KB Medical. If you have an application that could benefit from our technology, or if you would like to work in an innovative research environment, please contact us today!
